I. Director (Finance & Administration) – Level 14

Deputation Basis: Analogous post in Level 14 OR Level 13 with 4 years regular service. Educational Qualification: Graduate, preferably Post Graduate in Commerce / Business Administration / Humanities. Experience: 10-15 years in Finance & Administration. Age: Up to 56 years.

Contract Basis: Retired officials from Level 14 or Level 13 with 4 years service. Same qualification & experience. Age max 62 years.

II. Director (Project / Technical) – Level 14

Deputation Basis: Analogous post in Level 14 OR Chief Engineer/Associate Professor Level 13A with 2 years OR Superintending Engineer Level 13 with 4 years. B.E. Civil (preferred PG/Doctorate). Experience: 10-15 years in project appraisal, monitoring, road construction. Age: Up to 58 years (relaxable to 59).

Contract Basis: Retired officials at CE/SE level. Same qualification & experience. Age max 62.

III. Joint Director (Project / Technical) – Level 13A

Deputation Basis: Analogous Level 13A OR SE Level 13 with 2 yrs OR EE Level 11 with 7 yrs. B.E. Civil (preferred PG in Highway/Transportation Engineering). Experience: Min 5 years in civil engineering works related to road construction. Age: Up to 56 years.

The rural road connectivity is a key component of rural development, which promotes access to economic and social services and thereby generating increased agricultural income and productive employment opportunities in rural India as well as ensures sustainable poverty reduction program.

The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) is involved with the task of reducing poverty and bringing about rapid sustainable development and socio-economic transformation in rural India. To enable the process of developing rural India, various schemes are being implemented across the districts of the country. As a part of this, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) was launched to increase rural road connectivity with a view to promote greater access to economic and social services and thereby, generating increased economic and social opportunities in rural India.

The Ministry of Rural Development has undertaken a quick assessment of the socio-economic impact of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) on the lives of rural people in selected states of Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Orissa, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

CMI Social Research Centre was assigned the task of conducting the impact assessment in Assam and Mizoram, Development Research Services Pvt Ltd undertook the study in Madhya Pradesh, Agricultural Finance Corporation under took the study in Orissa, Santek Pvt. Ltd under carried out the study in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, RITES Pvt.
