Recruitment to 67 posts of Junior Fisheries Technical Assistant as Initial Appointee under Director of Fisheries(O), Cuttack Post Code-JFTA/80
1. Name of the post: Junior Fisheries Technical Assistant
2. Vacancy Position: Total: 67(w-22) UR-14(w-04), ST-29(w-10), SC-110-04), SEBC- 13(04) Vacancies reserved for Special Categories candidates such as Ex-Servicemen, PwD, Sports Person will be reflected in the detailed advertisement to be published shortly.
3. Remuneration: On selection to the post the candidate will be appointed as Initial Appointee carrying a remuneration of Rs. 13,100/- per month (for 1st year) as per Govt. in G.A. & P.G. Department Notification No. 28621/GEN dated 27.10.2021.
4. Minimum Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed +2 Vocational (Fisheries) from CHSE/University and must know swimming well. Candidates possessing +2 Science qualifications are also eligible to apply for the post. But, when candidates possessing +2 Vocational (Fisheries) qualifications will not be available, candidates with +2 Science qualifications will be considered for selection. And The candidate must have passed M.E standard/HSC examination with Odia as a language subject.

Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) was established in the year 1994 by Odisha Government as a statutory body for carrying out direct recruitment against Group C-Posts in the State. There are 85 different cadres of posts/ Services under various Department of Government which recruitment is made through the Commission. OSSC is responsible for applications of various examinations, issue of admit card to the candidates and also conducting interviews of applicants.
OSSC conducts exam for the posts of Junior Scale Stenographer, Enforcement Officer, Library Restorer, Laboratory Assistant, Forensic Lab attendant, etc.
