Applications are invited from the interested and eligible candidates for the Research Assistant under the ICSSR sponsored Project - “Minor Research Project in History”.

1. Position: Research Assistant

2. No of Posts: One (1)

3. Qualifications: Ph.D./M.Phil./ M.A in Social Science discipline with minimum 55%)

4. Fellowship: Rs.16, 000/- p.m. (fixed)

5. Nature of Work/Duty: The candidates will have to do whole time research work on the topic given to him/her and submit progress report to the Project Director, Department of History, O.U

6. Tenure:

a. For a temporary period of 4 months extendable from time to time as per need. b. The services are of purely temporary nature and does not confirm any right for University service. The University reserves right to terminate the award in case the research work is not found satisfactory or in case the ICSSR stops the assistance

7. Field work: Fieldwork is an integral part of research. TA/DA/ Conveyance will be paid during field work as per University rules

8. Preference: The Thrust area of the Minor Research Project is “Tradition vs Modernity: Situating the Tribal Women of Telangana in Social Space.
