Panjab University Recruitment 2022 for Research Assistant

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following temporary posts in Research Project entitled “Community Environmental Empowerment Program (CEEP)”. The project deals with the involvement of communities to impart the knowledge & raise their awareness levels for better understanding & ensuring necessary measures against the increasing levels of air pollution through active learning & inspiring behaviour change strategies that have potential to reduce air and environmental pollution exposure. The project outcomes will support in Mobilizing Communities for Air & Environmental Pollution Reduction & Enhancing Sustainability for Better Health & Future Generation.

2. No. of Posts: 1

3. Qualification: Essential:

a) ME/M.Tech/M.Sc in Environment Engineering/ Environment Science/Atmospheric Sciences/ allied discipline from a recognized institution/ University 

b) Desirable: Candidate should have at least one publication in relevant field. 

c) Candidate should provide at least 1 recommendation letter and 1 years of work experience in relevant field

4. ) Salary: Rs. 44000/- per month (fixed)

5. Job Description:

a)  A self-motivated, multi-skilled candidate is sought to join the project having experience and research record in climate change and air pollution studies.

b)  The candidate should have ability to converse, make presentations, write academic papers, reports and collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues and researchers.

c) The candidate is expected to assist with the organization of workshops, meetings, outreach activities, and general management of the project as a whole.

d)  The candidates should have an experience in handing the large datasets.

e)  Post is purely on contract basis and co-terminus with the term period of the project.

Selection Procedure

The interview date and time will be informed through email to shortlisted candidates. Interview may be held online/offline. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview. The rules and regulations as laid down by Panjab University and/or funding agency will govern the selected candidate.
