Applications are invited for the position of Guest Faculty to teach B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. (Hons.) classes during the Even Semester of the academic year 2025-2026 in the Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates possessing Master's degree in Microbiology and qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) to engage in academic activities on a lecture basis.

Eligibility for Guest Faculty

• Essential: Master's degree in Microbiology with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from an Indian University or equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  Note: A relaxation of 5% is provided for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Differently-abled/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/Ph.D. Degree holders (Master's Degree obtained prior to 19 Sept 1991).
  
  Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC (SLET/SET).
  Exemption: Candidates awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC regulations OR candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009 (subject to specific conditions: Ph.D. in regular mode, thesis evaluation by two examiners, open viva voce, 2 publications, 2 conference presentations certified by Registrar/Dean).
• Desirable: Ph.D. in Microbiology or allied fields.
