Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the Ph.D. Research Fellow position under the supervision of Professor Ranju Bansal in Pharmaceutical Chemistry must fulfil the following requirements:
- B.Pharm and M.Pharm with a minimum of 55% marks (aggregate). A relaxation of marks to 50% is applicable for SC, ST, and PH (Differently Abled) candidates.
- The M.Pharm degree must be in a related specialization to Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
- Candidate must have qualified GATE, GPAT, Ph.D. Entrance Test, or any other National Entrance Test conducted by a Central Government department.
- Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates with a good publication record, research experience, presentations, and/or patents.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
The selection will be based on a personal interview of eligible candidates. The evaluation will consider:
- Marks obtained in B.Pharm and M.Pharm
- GATE / GPAT score
- Number and quality of publications, patents, and research accomplishments
- Presentation during the interview
The interview will be held on 22 October 2026 at 2:30 PM in the office of the Chairperson, UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Candidates must bring all original documents and supporting certificates to verify their claims. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
