Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Professor (Hepatology): DM/DNB in Hepatology / Gastroenterology, or 4 years Additional Professorship / 8 years Associate Professorship / 11 years teaching experience in Hepatology with research publications.
  • Professor (Hepatobiliary Surgery): M.Ch. (HPB Surgery) / M.Ch. / DNB (GI Surgery) or MS (Surgery) with 3 years Senior Residency in Liver Transplant / HPB Surgery / Surgical Gastroenterology, plus 4/8/11 years of progressive teaching experience.
  • Professor (Anaesthesia & Critical Care): DM in Organ Transplant Anaesthesia and Critical Care or MD/DNB in Anaesthesia with 3 years post-MD senior residency in NMC-recognised teaching institution (minimum 2 years in Transplant Anaesthesia/Critical Care), plus 4/8/11 years teaching experience.
  • Professor (RadioDiagnosis / Pathology / Hospital Administration): MD/DNB in respective speciality with 11 years of teaching experience, including 8 years as Associate Professor.
  • Associate Professor (various departments): MD/DNB in the relevant speciality (or M.Ch./DNB for surgical specialities) with 6 years of teaching experience including 3 years as Assistant Professor, or 3 years as Associate Professor in progressive academic institutions.
  • Assistant Professor (various departments): DM/DNB or MD/DNB in the relevant speciality with 3 years Senior Residency or 3 years teaching and/or research experience at a recognised institution.
  • Senior Resident: Postgraduate degree (MD/DNB/DM/M.Ch./MS) in the respective speciality; specific requirements include NMC-recognised institutes and domain-specific experience as detailed in the notification.
  • Emergency Medical Officer (EMO): MD (Medicine) or MS (General Surgery) from a recognised institute.
  • DNB candidates: Must be from an institute recognised as per NMC norms.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Applications will be screened based on qualifications, experience, and academic achievements as stated in the notification.
  • PILBS reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates invited for the interview to a reasonable limit based on qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed.
  • Document Verification: To be held on 16 October 2026 at 12:00 PM at PILBS, SAS Nagar (Mohali). Original certificates must be produced along with 2 spare copies of all documents.
  • Interview: Scheduled on 16 October 2026 from 1:00 PM onwards at PILBS, SAS Nagar (Mohali).
