Pollution Control Committee (PCC) Daman, was established by Government of Maharashtra to protect the environment by preventing and controlling pollution by effective law enforcement to Control Industrial Pollution adopting best environmental management practices to keep the State pollution free.
PCC conducts following activities: Public Consultation, Vehicular Pollution Control Action against Defaulters of Pollution Control Acts, Research & Development, Monitoring of Coastal Areas, Monitoring of Important Water Bodies, Hazardous Waste Management, Bio-Medical Waste (Management & Handling), Municipal Solid Wastes (Management & Handling) and also make close coordination and rapport with Educational Institutions, Non Government Organisation, Industries Association Government Organisation to create Environmental Awareness.
