Educational Qualification: M.Phil/Ph.D
Applications are invited from the interested Indian Nationals for a project based vacancy of Research Associate (01 No.) in the ICMR funded ad-hoc research project entitled "Evaluation of prebiotic and anti-obesity properties of galactan exopolysaccharide".
1. Name of the Post: Research Associate
2. No of Post: 01
3. Essential Qualification: MSc and PhD in Food Science and Technology [Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology.
4. Desirable: Candidate with hand on experience in cell culture and animal experiments will be preferred.
5. Fellowship: As per funding agency norms.
6. Duration: Appointment will initially for one year from the date of appointment and may be extended further based on the progress as well as based on the tenure of the project. Position co terminates with the project tenure.

Selection Procedure
1. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed by e mail and no separate call letters will be sent.
2. Interview will be scheduled within a week of last date for the receipt of applications and the selected candidate should be willing to join the project immediately.

2.Latest updated biodata
3.One page self-assessment indicating how you are the most suitable candidate for the position and you can contribute the project (not more than 500 words). This is very important and is used in the assessment.
4.Copy of necessary educational and experience certificates
5.PhD award certificate / thesis submission certificate 6.List of SCI indexed publications in the relevant field with first page/ full paper of the publication as proof

Pondicherry University, also known as PU, is a collegiate public central university located in Kalapet, Pondicherry, Union Territory of Puducherry, India.
