Educational Qualification: M.Sc
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates along with detailed CV supported by attested photocopies of certificates for one JRF, purely on a temporary basis, in Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India sponsored 3-year Project titled "Antibiofilm potential and molecular diversity of marine fungi from Puducherry mangroves".

2. No of Post: 01
3. Qualifications: For JRF. MSc. in any branch of Life Sciences with minimum of 55% marks. Candidates with UGC/CSIR-NET and GATE are preferable. Candidates having research experience in fungal biodiversity/fungal biotechnological studies or culturing of fungi arc desirable.
4. Stipend: Rs.31000/- plus HRA p.m. Monthly stipend is as per SERB norms and on availability of the support from SERB.

Pondicherry University, also known as PU, is a collegiate public central university located in Kalapet, Pondicherry, Union Territory of Puducherry, India. It was established by an Act of Parliament in 1985 by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.The Vice President of India is the Chancellor along with the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry acting as the Chief Rector and the President of India is the Visitor of the University. The university is a collegiate university with its jurisdiction spread over the Union Territory of Puducherry located in Tamil Nadu (Pondicherry and Karaikal), Kerela (Mahé) and Andhra Pradesh (Yanam), and Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The residents speak diverse languages such as English, Tamil, French, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, Oriya and Kannada.
