Eligibility Criteria for PCI PPS Post

To Apply Online for Press Council of India Vacancy, candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions:

1. Officer Category & Service Requirements

Applications are invited from officers who are:

• Holding the post of Principal Private Secretary or an analogous post in the pay scale of Level 11 (₹15,600-39,100 + GP 6600) on a regular basis.
• OR Have 05 years or more of regular service in Level 10 in the Stenographic Cadre.
• OR Have 07 years or more of regular service in Level 9 in the Stenographic Cadre.
• OR Have 08 years or more of regular service in Level 8 in the Stenographic Cadre.
• OR Have 09 years or more of regular service in Level 7 in the Stenographic Cadre.

2. Period of Deputation

The period of deputation, including the period of deputation immediately preceding the appointment in any other organization/department of the Central Government, should ordinarily not exceed 3 years. The initial appointment is for a period of three years, extendable or curtailed as per extant rules.

Salary, Pay Scale & Benefits

The selected candidate will be appointed on deputation on Foreign Service terms and conditions. The pay and allowances will be regulated as per the Press Council of India (Terms & Conditions of Service of Employees) Regulations, 2002 read with Central Government rules.

• Pay Band & Grade Pay (Pre-revised): PB-3, ₹15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay ₹6600
• Pay Level (7th CPC): Level 11 (₹56,100 - ₹1,77,500 per month)
• Other Benefits: House Rent Allowance (HRA) at prescribed Central Government rates for Delhi/New Delhi. Note: Employees are not eligible for allotment of general pool accommodation.
