Punjab Gramin Bank is one of the leading Regional Rural Bank in India having Punjab National Bank, one of the premier banks in India as its Sponsor bank.
The Central Government of India, vide its notification dated 21-12-2018, amalgamated Punjab Gramin Bank, Malwa Gramin Bank and Sutlej Gramin Bank and a single regional rural Bank called as ‘Punjab Gramin Bank’ came into existence in Punjab State with w.e.f 01-01-2019 with its Head Office at Kapurthala.
As of 31.03.2023, Punjab Gramin Bank has 435 operational branches across whole Punjab with a total customer base exceeding 41 lakhs. Bank has 81.15% of its branches in the rural areas thus aiding the growth in rural regions of Punjab by offering various attractive loan and deposit schemes.
