RGCB Recruitment 2026: 1 Project Technical Support-III – Apply Online @ rgcb.res.in

The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) has issued Advertisement No. 12/2026 dated 01 October 2026 for the recruitment of 1 Project Technical Support – III on a purely contractual basis. The post is funded under the ICMR / MAHA MedTech project titled "An AI-Integrated Ultrasensitive Nanopore Sensing System for Non-invasive Early Detection of Cervical Cancer" at IndZita Biotech Pvt. Ltd., a startup incubated at BRIC-RGCB. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online before 14 October 2026.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification: BCA, B.Tech Computer Science, B.Tech Electrical and Communication Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university/institution.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Python and digital signal processing libraries (NumPy, SciPy).
• Hands-on experience with single-board computers (Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, or similar).
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch / TensorFlow).

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Online Application Submission: Candidates must apply online on or before 14 October 2026.
2. Shortlisting: Applications will be screened and shortlisted based on eligibility criteria (essential and desirable qualifications).
3. Online Selection Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online selection interview. The exact date and platform link will be communicated separately.
4. Final Selection: Based on qualifications and performance in the online selection interview.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the online selection interview. Applications not submitted in the prescribed format will be summarily rejected. Government employees must apply through the proper channel.

Contract Duration & Important Employment Clause

The Project Technical Support – III position is entirely contractual and co-terminus with the funded project. The project has an initial duration of one year, or until termination, whichever is earlier, extendable based on performance evaluation. Selection to this position does not entitle the candidate to any future regular positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). This post does not carry permanent government job security or lifetime pension.
