Applications in the prescribed form are invited for filling up of the following eight vacant posts of Assistant Professors (Group “A”) in this Institution4 1. Position : Assistant Professors 2. No of Post : 08 3. Scale of Pay :Pay Level of 10 (Pre-revised Pay Band of Rs.15600-39100 with AGP of Rs.6000/- plus other allowances 4. Qualification : a) Degree of B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.V.SC b) Master’s Degree in relevant subject (s), as detailed hereunder with a minimum of 55% of marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever grading system is followed)

About Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Veterinary Education & Research
The Pondicherry Veterinary College later renamed Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAGACOVAS) is now renamed the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Veterinary Education and Research (RIVER). The Pondicherry Veterinary College Society (PVCS) is governed by the Board of Governors with the Secretary (Animal Husbandry and Animal Welfare), Government of Puducherry as the Chairman and the Dean, RIVER as Member-Secretary. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Veterinary Education and Research is fully funded by the Government of Puducherry and affiliated with the Pondicherry University. Since its inception, the institute has made spectacular progress owing to the excellent support extended by the Board of Governors and the Government of Puducherry.
