Applications are invited for filling up the vacancies of Principal Scientist, Senior Scientist and Scientist for ICAR Research Projects under Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Gwalior. 4. Qualifications: An eminent scholar with Doctoral degree in concerned subject and published work of high quality, actively engaged in Research/Teaching/ Extension/ Farm Management with evidence of published work with minimum of 10 publications as books and /or research/policy papers. Master's degree in concerned subject having minimum 55% Marks or equivalent OGPA.
a. Ten years experience in Research/Teaching/Extension Education/ Farm management provided 03 years' experience is as a Senior Scientist/Associate Professor or an equivalent position at an AGP of Rs. 9000/- in New UGC scales 2010 or in an equivalent position in University College and/or National level institution including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level/ guiding high level research and /or Extension Education programme considered at par to doctoral level work evidenced by published work.
b. Education/ Farm Evidence of contribution to Research/Teaching/Extension Management as supported by published work/innovations. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (AP) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by RVSKVV in the light UGC Regulations as available in the University website (www.rvskvv.net).

Selection Procedure
The persons will be called for interview on merit basis and eligible applicants against the vacant posts in the ratio of (Minimum 1:3 and Maximum 1:8) as approved by the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor.

The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh as second Agricultural University by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. As per RVSKVV act the horticulture and veterinary science & animal husbandry. The research activities are operated through five Zonal Agricultural Research Stations (Morena, Khargone, Jhabua, Indore, and Sehore); four Regional Agricultural Research Stations (Gwalior, Mandsaur, Ujjain and Khandwa) and 4 special research stations (Entkhedi, Bagwai, Jaora and Badwah) having 22 All India Coordinated Research Projects and several ad-hoc projects to enhance the productivity and profitability of agriculture system. Transfer of technology is the part of extension activities carried out by 19 Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
The overall climate varies from semi-arid to subhumid with hot summer, cool and dry winter and 600-1000 mm mean rainfall. The geographical area of the state under the jurisdiction of university contains three types of soils varying from alluvial to medium and heavy black soils spread over six agro-climatic zones i.e. Gird Zone, Malwa Plateau, Nimar Valley, Vindhya Plateau, Jhabua Hills and Bundelkhand Zone.
