The College of Agriculture, RVSKVV, Gwalior invite application for walk in interview of Assistantship position under Institutional Project entitled “Commercial propagation for quality plants by tissue culture technology & marketing for revenue generation” on contractual basis for the period of six months or till termination of the project. 1. Name of Post : Assistantship 2. Number of Posts : 02 (Two) 3. Period of engagement : Six months or till termination of the project (2 years) 4. Place of Work : Department of Plant Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, College of Agriculture, Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia KrishiVishwaVidyalaya, Gwalior (M.P.) 5. Job of work : Commercial propagation for quality plants by tissue culture technology 6. Qualification: i. B.Sc. (Ag) from any ICAR accredited university ii. M.Sc. (Ag)/ Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/Genetics and Plant Breeding with specialization in plant biotechnological work iii. Note: Preference will be given to the students worked in molecular breeding aspects of crops 7. Desirable Qualification: Working knowledge of computer/field management and marker assisted selection NET in Concern Subject Working knowledge of computer/field management and marker assisted selection 8. Emolument (Rs. / month) : i. Rs. 10000/- (Fixed) for B.Sc. (Ag/Hort.)

4. One passport size photograph and Bank Demand Draft of Rs 100/-(non refundable) in favour of the DEAN, College of Agriculture, RVSKVV, Gwalior payable at Gwalior may be submitted to the Dean, College of Agriculture, RVSKVV, Gwalior-474002 on or before 14.03.2022 up to 10.00 AM.

The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh as second Agricultural University by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. As per RVSKVV act the horticulture and veterinary science & animal husbandry. The research activities are operated through five Zonal Agricultural Research Stations (Morena, Khargone, Jhabua, Indore, and Sehore); four Regional Agricultural Research Stations (Gwalior, Mandsaur, Ujjain and Khandwa) and 4 special research stations (Entkhedi, Bagwai, Jaora and Badwah) having 22 All India Coordinated Research Projects and several ad-hoc projects to enhance the productivity and profitability of agriculture system. Transfer of technology is the part of extension activities carried out by 19 Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
The overall climate varies from semi-arid to subhumid with hot summer, cool and dry winter and 600-1000 mm mean rainfall. The geographical area of the state under the jurisdiction of university contains three types of soils varying from alluvial to medium and heavy black soils spread over six agro-climatic zones i.e. Gird Zone, Malwa Plateau, Nimar Valley, Vindhya Plateau, Jhabua Hills and Bundelkhand Zone.
