Educational Qualification:
Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture): Master’s degree in the relevant field or equivalent qualifications with good good academic record from a recognized university. Desirable: i) Tow year experience of work in ICAR system or KVK or equivalent institution ii) Doctoral degree in the relevant subject/field. iii)NET in the relevant subject/field.
Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Husbandry): Master’s degree in the relevant field or equivalent qualifications with a good academic record from a recognized university. Desirable: i) Tow year experience of work in ICAR system or KVK or equivalent institution ii) Doctoral degree in the relevant subject/field. iii)NET in the relevant subject/field.
Pay Scale:
INR
15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.5400/-
Age Limit: 18-35 years.
Application Fee: Candidates for the post of SMS (Animal Husbandry) are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1,000/- (Rs.300/- for Female/Women-UR Candidates), excluding bank charges. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/Person with Benchmark Disability are exempted from application fees. Application Fees should be paid through DD or to the Saving Bank Account of RAKVK:

Ramkrishna Ashram Krishi Vigyan Kendra (RKAKVK) is an agricultural science center located in Nimpith, West Bengal, India. It is a part of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and was established in 1993 to promote agricultural research and extension services in the region.
The main objective of RKAKVK is to provide technical support and training to farmers, extension workers, and other stakeholders in the field of agriculture. It also aims to conduct research on various aspects of agriculture and develop new technologies and techniques that can improve the productivity and sustainability of farming practices.
The center has a team of highly qualified scientists and researchers who work on various agricultural disciplines such as plant breeding, soil science, entomology, and agronomy. It also has well-equipped laboratories, demonstration farms, and other facilities that enable researchers to carry out experiments and demonstrations.
