Educational Qualification: Mine Foreman: Diploma in Mining Engineering with Mine Foreman Certificate of Competency restricted to Open cast working only issued by DGMS.
Operator and Mechanic: SSC / Matric with ITI/ Diploma in Engineering valid Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving License
Mine Mate: SSC/Matric with Mine Mate Certificate of Competency restricted to Opencast working issued by DGMS
Blaster: SSC/Matric with Blaster Certificate of Competency restricted to Opencast Metalliferous Mines issued by DGMS
Drill Technician: SSC/Matric with ITI Fitter trade
Experience: Mine Foreman: 5 (Five) Years experience in Mechanised Opencast Metalliferous Mines.
Should possess basic knowledge of Computer and entering data in statutory websites of DGMS and PESO, etc.
Operator and Mechanic: 5 (Five) Years experience in operating the Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) like Excavator, 35T Dumper, Dozer and Loader. Experience in Mines is preferable.
Mine Mate: 5 (Five) years experience in Mechanized Opencast Metalliferous Mines
Blaster: 4 (Four) years experience in Blasting operations in opencast mine workings. Should have experience in handling of Slurry/Emulsion explosives. Should have
knowledge of using of SME and Nonel.
Drill Technician: 3 (Three) years experience in Operations and Maintenance of DTH Drill machines and Compressor. Experience in Mines is preferable

Selection Procedure

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd, (abbreviated as RINL), also known as Vizag Steel, is a Public steel producer, located in Visakhapatnam.
The company also has blast furnace grade Limestone captive mine at Jaggayyapeta (Krishna District), a captive mine for Dolomite at Madharam (Khammam),a manganese ore captive mine at Cheepurupalli(Vizianagaram). It also has mining lease for river sand of river Champavathi.
RINL was wholly owned by the Government of India previously but due to huge loss government sold its share so it is now Public. In November 2010, the company was granted the Navratna status by the Government of India.
