Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Sr. Section Engineer/Inspection/Electrical (25 Posts)
- Must be a Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post) working in Pay Level-7 in Electrical Department of Zonal Railway/Production Unit.
- Minimum 5 years of service experience as Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post) in Pay Level-7.
- B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
- Total APAR Grading of last 3 years (2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25) not less than 11 marks; last year APAR not below 'GOOD'.
- Medical Category B-1 required.
- Cooling-off period of 3 years between two tenures in RDSO must be maintained.
- No penalty imposed as outcome of vigilance case during previous RDSO tenure.
Sr. Section Engineer/Inspection/Mech (17 Posts)
- Must be a Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post) working in Pay Level-7 in Mechanical Department of Zonal Railway/Production Unit.
- Minimum 5 years of service experience as Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post) in Pay Level-7.
- B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
- Total APAR Grading of last 3 years (2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25) not less than 11 marks; last year APAR not below 'GOOD'.
- Medical Category B-1 required.

Selection Process & Screening Clause
Selection will be based on screening of eligible candidates by a Screening Committee. The screening carries maximum 20 marks distributed as follows:
- APAR of last 3 years: Maximum 15 marks.
- Educational/Professional Qualifications: Maximum 5 marks.
After screening, a panel and a merit list corresponding to the vacancies will be prepared. No written test or interview is mentioned; selection is purely based on screening of records. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending any stage of selection.
