SAMEER is looking for suitable persons at SAMEER Centre for High Power Microwave Tube and Component Technology, IIT Guwahati Campus for sponsored project on consolidated pay.These are contractual appointments and shall not confer any right for regularization / absorption or continuation of service in SAMEER

1. Post: Project Technician B/C
2. Essential Qualification: Candidates should have passed ITI (2 years Duration) and completed NCTVT with minimum 55% marks
3. Experience: PT-B- 5years PT-C-10 years Working on mechanical assemblies, part fabrication, workshop machinery and furnace brazing etc
4. Remuneration: PT-A Rs 15,100/- PT-B Rs. 19,100/- PT –C Rs. 23,600/-
5. Duration: 2-Years or the duration of Project whichever is less

Age Limit: 30 - 35 years
Selection Procedure
1. Candidates, who fulfil the prescribed qualifications and experience, will be asked to appear for an online test.
2. The candidates who have qualified in the written test will be asked to appear for an online interview.
3. Final selection will be based on performance in the interview/written test.
4. The date, time slot and web link for both the online test and interview will be communicated through the email id of the respective candidate.
5. It is in the interest of the candidate to furnish correct email id and mobile numbers for communication purpose.

Instructions for filling the forms are available on the same link. Once candidate fills the online information, he/she can edit it as he/she wants. SAMEER was set up as an autonomous R & D laboratory at Mumbai under the then Department of Electronics, Government of India with a broad mandate to undertake R & D work in the areas of Microwave Engineering and Electromagnetic Engineering Technology. It is an offshoot of the special microwave products unit (SMPU) set up in 1977 at the TATA INSTITUTE OF FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH (TIFR), Mumbai. SAMEER, Mumbai was setup in 1984.
Centre for Electromagnetics, SAMEER Chennai which was under Department of Electronics (DOE) was merged with SAMEER in 1987.
Centre for Microwave & Millimeterwave, SAMEER Kolkata was set up in 1994.
Elecromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Laboratory, SAMEER Visakhapatnam was established in 2014.
Centre for High Power Microwave Tube and Component Technology, SAMEER Guwahati was established in 2015.
