Educational Qualification:
(a) Postgraduate Degree preferably in humanities/social science/music/dance/drama.
(b) Understanding and knowledge of performing arts as performer/writer/producer.
(c) Experience in formulating, planning, and administering projects/ schemes dealing with performing arts, especially in Manipuri dance and music.
(d) Knowledge of Government Rules and Regulations.

The Sangeet Natak Akademi (SNA) New Delhi, was established on 31st May 1952. It's an apex body of National Academy for Music, Dance and Drama, comes under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The aim of Academi is to encourage the exchange of ideas and enrichment of techniques between the different region in regard to the Art, Music, Dance and Drama.
The prime objective of academic is to promote research in the field of Indian Music, Dance , Drama by establishing Library and Museum to preserve folk dance and folk drama in different region of the Country and to encourage the development of community music martial, dance and other types of music.
They conducting various activities & programmes like, Theatre Works, Support to Children Theatre, Inter State Cultural Exchange programmes, Indo Foreign Cultural Exchange Programme etc.
