Applications are invited in the prescribed form available online on Shivaji University website www.unishivaji.ac.in (URL www.unishivaji.ac.in/recruitments) for the following University Statutory Officers posts to be filled in the University as per the provisions under Section 15 of Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016. (Mah. VI of 2017). 1. Name of the Posts with faculty: Dean, Faculty of Inter-disciplinary Studies 2. No. of Posts: 01 3. Reservation Category or Open: Open 4. Subject/ Specialization /Branch / Remark: As per Order No. SU/ELE/ORDER/4591/4593, dated 24/08/2017 (provided on website) 5. Pay Scale: Subject to approval of Govt. of Maharashtra) Academic level-14 Entry Pay 1,44,200/- (as per Higher and Technical Education department G.R.No. Misc-2018/C.R. 56/18/UNI-1 dated 08.03.2019) 6. Qualifications: i. An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 research publications in the pree-reviewed of UGC- listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given of Govt. Resolution No Misc-2018. C.R.56/18/UNI-1 dated 08.03.2019. ii. A minimum of fifteen years of teaching & research experience in university/college, as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, or/ research experience at equivalent level at the University/National level institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate. B. An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D degree in the relevant/allied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above)/ industry who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied /relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten year’ experience. 7. As Per Post Of Principal i. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) by a recognized University. ii. A Ph. D. Degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline(s) in the institution concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance. iii. Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of fifteen years of teaching/research/administration in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of higher education. 8. How to Apply:
1. The prescribed online application form is available on the university website www.unishivaji.ac.in under the tab “ Recruitment at University ” which have to be filled online and the printed on A4 size papers, in 06 copies with necessary attested documents and Receipt of Online Payment of Rs. 500/- should accompany the application form.
2. Application form other than online form and forms without Cash Receipt of Online payment will not be considered for further process of recruitment.
3. Final print-out of application form alongwith the attested copies of relevant documents enclosed to each copy of the application should be addressed to the Registrar, Shivaji University, Vidyanagar, Kolhapur - 416 004 so as to reach this office on or before 04/04/2022 (till 6.00 p.m.)
4. Envelope containing duly filled application form shall be superscripted with “Name of the Post applied: ------ and Post No.
5. Incomplete application or application on plain paper or Xerox copies of prescribed application form will not be entertained. Forms other than online procedure or forms without Cash Receipt of on line Payment will not be considered for further process of recruitment.
6. Interested candidates may apply online on or before 24/03/2022
7. Last date for submission of the final printout of application form is 04/04/2022 up to 6.00 p.m. in the University office.

Shivaji University, established in 1962, is named after the Great Maratha Warrior and founder of the Maratha empire Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It was inaugurated on 18th November, 1962 by Dr. Radhakrishnan, the then President of India. One of the major objectives behind foundation of this University was to cater to the regional needs of South Maharashtra. The jurisdiction of the University is spread over three districts viz. Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara with strength of about 3,00,000 students studying in 280 affiliated colleges and recognised institutes. This region of Maharashtra boasts of rich and varied socio-cultural heritage.
Under the innovative and socially reformist leadership of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, the princely ruler of Kolhapur, the city had become at the beginning of this century, a focal point of educational opportunities for all classes and communities of South-Western Maharashtra, and northern parts of neighbouring Karnataka. This is also land of Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil, who struggled for taking education to the masses by his innovative 'Earn and Learn' scheme. When the University was founded by the Shivaji University Act of 1962, the objectives set before the University included making opportunities of higher education accessible to rural youth, conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of science and humanities to ensure regional growth and development.
