The appointment is purely on contract basis for the period specified by the University. This is not a permanent government post; renewal or extension will depend on the University's requirements, satisfactory performance, and the decision of the competent authority.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Nationality

• Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification – Multimedia Technician

• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised Board.
• AND any one of the following:
  • Degree in Multimedia / Animation / Graphic Design or equivalent from a recognised University.
  • 3 years (6-semester) Diploma in Multimedia / Animation / 3D Graphics / Graphic Design or related areas.

Experience Requirement

• Minimum 6 months experience in state-of-the-art tools for 3D Graphic Design, Video Editing, Multimedia Production, Recordings & Post-Production works.

Age Limit

• Not more than 40 years as on 01/01/2026, with usual relaxation to SC/ST and OBC as per Government of Kerala Rules.
• Upper age-limit relaxation and reservation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD shall be applicable only in accordance with the rules/orders of the Government of Kerala in force.
• Only natives of Kerala shall be eligible for reservation benefits, as per applicable rules.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Skill Test: Short-listed candidates will be called for a skill test evaluating practical competency in multimedia tools, 3D graphics, video editing, and post-production.
2. Interview: Candidates clearing the skill test will be called for an interview conducted by a duly constituted Selection Committee of the University.
3. Document Verification: Appointment will be subject to verification of original documents and satisfactory antecedents.

No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the skill test or interview.

Screening Clause: If the number of eligible candidates exceeds the shortlist ratio, the Selection Committee reserves the right to conduct a preliminary screening written test or reduce the interview shortlist as deemed necessary.

Salary & Remuneration Structure

This is a fixed consolidated monthly contract pay. There is no separate Grade Pay, Dearness Allowance, or pension component. This is not a permanent government job with lifetime pension benefits.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth.
• All Degree / Diploma Certificate and Consolidated Mark Sheets (10+2, relevant degree/diploma in Multimedia/Animation/Graphic Design).
• Experience Certificates on Official Letterhead (minimum 6 months in 3D Graphic Design, Video Editing, Multimedia Production, Recordings & Post-Production).
• Equivalency Certificate / Order from Competent Authority (if claiming equivalent qualifications).
• Valid Kerala State Category / Caste Certificate in the format prescribed by the Government of Kerala (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD), for reservation benefits.
• Two recent passport-size photographs and valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN Card).

Important Instructions

• Candidates shall satisfy all prescribed eligibility conditions, including age, educational qualifications, and experience, on the last date prescribed for submission of applications (11 November 2026).
• Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications shall produce the Equivalency Certificate/Order issued by the competent authority.
• Experience shall be acquired after obtaining the prescribed qualification and shall be from a recognised institution/organisation.
• Applications shall be submitted only through the University's online application portal. Incomplete, defective, and late applications are liable to be rejected.
• Furnishing false information, suppression of material facts, or submission of forged/certified certificates shall result in cancellation of candidature/appointment.
• Canvassing in any form or bringing external influence for securing appointment shall lead to disqualification of the candidate.
• Renewal/extension, if any, shall depend on the requirements of the University, satisfactory performance, and the decision of the competent authority.
