Translator and Various Posts

Educational Qualification:
Translator:
1) Master’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent in Punjabi or English with English or Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at the degree level or
2) Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Punjabi to English & vice versa or two years' experience of translation work from Punjabi to English and vice-versa in Central or State government offices, including Government of India undertaking.
Interpreter / Sign Language Interpreter:
i. Indian Sign Language Course at Level-C/Diploma in Indian Sign Language Interpretation (DISLI).
ii. Registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India.
Special Educator:
i. Graduation from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
ii. Bachelor of Education Degree (Special Education) recognized by RCI with at least 50% marks in aggregate and valid registration with RCI.
Pay Scale:
INR
72072-150000/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 62 Years.

The Department of Social Security and Development of Women & Children, Punjab started functioning in the year 1955. From 1955-89, the Department worked for the welfare of Widows & Destitute women; Old Age Persons; Blind and Mentally Retarded and Orphaned & Dependent children along with steps to curb immoral trafficking. For this period, the Department was a part of the bigger Department of Social Welfare. In 1989, the Department of Social Welfare was bifurcated into the Department of Social Security and Department of Welfare of SCs and BCs.
