General Manager, Assistant General Manager

Number of Vacancy: 5 Posts

Educational Qualification: Any Graduate, CA, MBA/PGDM

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens of Sikkimese origin having Sikkim Subject certificate/Certificate of Identification issued by competent authority of the Government of Sikkim for lateral appointment in the following posts on regular/contract basis in State Bank of Sikkim

1. Name of Post: General Manager

2. No. of posts: 02

3. Eligibility criteria: A) For Normal Appointment:

(i) Should be a working or a retired bank officer of PSB or scheduled commercial/co-operative banks in India. Retired officer should have retired in the last not more than 2 years. Officers retired on disciplinary grounds are not eligible.

(ii) Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline. Candidates having professional qualifications of CA/MBA/JAIIB/CAIIB shall be preferred.

(iii) Age Limit 55 years of age.

(iv) Experience: Minimum 20 years in banking service of which last 2 years should be in the senior executive rank equivalent to Scale V and above in PSB or scheduled commercial/co-operative banks in India.

(B) For Contract Appointment: (for retired bank officials only)

(i) Should be a retired bank officer having retired from a PSB or scheduled commercial/co-operative banks in India in the last not more than 2 years. Officers retired on disciplinary grounds are not eligible. 

(ii) Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline. Candidates having professional qualifications of CA/MBA/JAIIB/CAIIB shall be preferred. 

(iii) Age Limit 62 years of age. 

(iv) Experience: Minimum 25 years in banking service of which last 2 years of service should be in the senior executive rank equivalent to Scale V and above in PSB or scheduled commercial/cooperative banks in India.

4. Compensation:

Pay: Pay of the officer under normal appointment to be placed at Level 20 Cell 3 under Pay matrix of the bank. Approximate gross salary at current rate exclusive of conveyance allowance shall be about Rs.1,35,000/- per month. Officer shall be provided with an official conveyance or conveyance allowance of Rs.12,000/- per month in lieu of the same.

Pay: Retired Officers shall be appointed under contract basis for a period of 3 years extendable every year on review of their performance and their pay shall be fixed at Rs.135,000/- per month for entire period of three years. Officer shall be provided with an official conveyance or conveyance allowance of Rs.12,000/- per month in lieu of the same. No provision for pay protection

3. Eligibility criteria: 

(i) Should be a working or a retired bank officer of PSB or scheduled commercial/co-operative banks in India. Retired officer should have retired in the last not more than 2 years. Officers retired on disciplinary grounds are not eligible.

(ii) Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline. Candidates having professional qualifications of CA/MBA/JAIIB/CAIIB shall be preferred.

(iii) Age Limit 50 years of age.

(iv) Experience: Minimum 13 years in banking service of which last 2 years should be in the senior executive rank equivalent to Scale III and above in PSB or scheduled commercial/co-operative banks in India. 

4. Compensation:

Pay: Pay of the officer under normal appointment to be placed at Level 19 Cell 3 under Pay matrix of the bank. Approximate gross salary at current rate inclusive of conveyance allowance shall be about Rs.1,28,000/- per month. No provision for pay protection .
