It is proposed to fill up one position of "JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW" on contractual basis under the SERB-DST Project entitled "CRISPRICas mediated targeted editing for virus resistance in sugarcane" by walk-in-written test-cum-Interview at ICAR-Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore-7 (Tamilnadu) on 12.04,2022 at 9.00 AM.

3. Duration: Up to 15.12.2023 or till the winding up of the project whichever is earlier.

4. Essential Qualification: Post graduation(M.Sc/M. Tech) in Life Sciences from recognized university with 4 years/5 years of bachelor's degree and 2 years master's degree having NET/GATE/Equivalent qualification. (or) Masters degree in life/basic science with 3 years bachelors and 2 years masters degree having NETIGATE/Equivalent qualification. Specialization of life/basic sciences in Plant Molecular Biologyl Plant sciences /Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Botany)

5. Desirable: Molecular biology techniques, experience in plant transformation techniques, tissue culture work etc.

6. Emoluments: Rs.31,000/-+18% per month (First two years) and Rs.35000/- +18% HRA for third year

31000 - 35000(Per Month)

Selection Procedure

Selection Will be Based either Written Exam/Interview

How to Apply:

1. The written test cum interview for the above position will be conducted through in- person at ICAR-SBI, Coimbatore on 12.04.2022 at 9.00 AM.

2. The candidates should bring bio-data (in prescribed proforma) entire original certificates from SSLC onwards, one set of photocopies of certificates(self attested), experience certificate and latest passport size photograph at the time of written test for verification. Candidates those who fail to submit original certificates for verification will not be allowed for written test

3. The candidate should hold Degree certificate (atleast Provisional certificate) in original in rlo. Graduation/Post graduation/Professional courses.(website results/Awaiting for results candidates will not be allowed/considered)
