Applications are invited for personal interview to be held for the following posts at Multi Disciplinary Research Unit (MRU)-SMIMER, Surat. 1. Name of The Post: Research Scientist I 2. Number of Posts: 01 3. Fixed Remuneration/Month: 67,000/- + HRA 4. Minimum Essential Qualifications & Experience: a) PG Degree (MD/DNB) in Pathology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Laboratory Medicine recognized by NMC/MCI with 05 years R&D/teaching experience in Pathology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Genetics/ other relevant life science subjects from recognized university/ teaching /research institution. OR b) PG Diploma in Pathology/ Microbiology/ recognized by NMC/MCI with 06 years R&D /teaching experience in Pathology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Laboratory Sciences /Genetics/other relevant life science subjects from recognized university/ teaching/research institution. OR c) M.Sc plus Ph.D degree in the relevant subject (e.g. Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Genetics /other relevant life science subjects) from a recognized university plus 08 years R&D/teaching experience in these subjects after M.Sc + Ph.D. from recognized university/ teaching/research institution OR d) First Class Master's Degree in the relevant subject (e.g. Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Genetics /other relevant life science subjects) from a recognized university 08 years R&D/teaching experience in these subjects after 1st class Master's Degree from recognized university/ teaching/research 5. Tenure of the Post: Above posts are temporary in nature and will be filled up purely on contractual basis with initial appointment for eleven (11) months as per rules and regulations of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) & Department of Health Research (DHR). This employment will be temporary, for a fixed term and shall automatically cease on expiry of term without any notice unless renewed or reemployment letter issued.
