Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Assistant Professor
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in the concerned/relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from an Indian University or an accredited foreign university.
- Entrance Exam: Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/ICAR/CSIR, or SLET/SET.
Exemption: Candidates with a Ph.D. Degree obtained in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009/2016) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET (conditions apply regarding regular mode, evaluation, viva, publications, etc.). - Alternative Ph.D. Criteria: Ph.D. degree from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings (QS, THE, or ARWU).
- Basic Degree: A basic degree of B.V.Sc. / B.V.Sc. & A.H. obtained from a University/College listed in Schedule 1a of the Indian Veterinary Council Act – 1984 is mandatory for all teaching posts.
- Desirable: Ph.D. degree as per UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2016.
