Total monthly emoluments at basic pay: ₹56,896 comprising Basic Pay ₹28,000 + DA (55.7%) ₹15,596 + HRA (10%) ₹2,800 + Perks & Allowances (35%) ₹10,500. Additional benefits include National Pension System (NPS), Contributory Provident Fund, Accident Insurance, Contributory Medical Insurance, and Leave Encashment.

Age Relaxation: ST candidates: 5 years (in posts reserved for them); Ex-servicemen: As per Government of India guidelines, subject to a maximum age of 50 years.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Nationality: Indian citizens only.
• Supervisor (Nesting):
  • Essential Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Marine / Civil / Electronics and Communication / Computer / Automobile Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in Nesting related to Plate Processing / CNC Cutting / Production Planning / CAD-CAM in a Shipbuilding, Offshore Fabrication, Marine-related Engineering, or Government / Semi-Government Company. At least 2 of the 7 years must be in a Supervisory grade.
  • Desirable: Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, SAP.
• Supervisor (Mechanical):
  • Essential Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in Piping / Machinery / Structural Outfitting functions in a Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Offshore Fabrication, Marine-related Engineering, or Government / Semi-Government Company. At least 2 of the 7 years must be in a Supervisory grade.
  • Desirable: Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, SAP.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection process comprises two phases:

1. Phase I – Offline Written Test (80 Marks):
   • Objective Type Test: 40 marks, 45-minute duration, no negative marking. Part A covers General Knowledge, General English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude (5 questions each, 5 marks each = 20 marks). Part B covers Discipline-related topics (20 questions, 20 marks). Minimum pass: 50% for Unreserved posts; 40% for ST candidates.
   • Descriptive Type Test: 40 marks, 90-minute duration, discipline-related questions.
2. Phase II – Power Point Presentation (20 Marks): Held at Udupi CSL, Malpe (or any location decided by Udupi CSL). Candidates present their work experience in a presentation not exceeding 10 minutes.

Travelling Allowance: No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the written tests, except for eligible SC/ST candidates during document verification as per company rules.

Selected candidates will be placed at the minimum of the pay scale; pay protection will not be considered. Candidates are liable to be transferred within different units of Udupi CSL or serve on-board ships / project sites in India or abroad.
