Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Supervisor (Nesting)
- Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Marine / Civil / Electronics & Communication / Computer / Automobile Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in Nesting, related to Plate Processing / CNC Cutting / Production Planning / CAD-CAM in a Shipbuilding, Offshore Fabrication, Marine related Engineering company, or Government / Semi-Government establishment. Out of 10 years, at least 2 years must be in a supervisory grade.
Supervisor (Mechanical)
- Qualification: Three-year Diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in Piping / Machinery / Structural outfitting functions in a Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Offshore Fabrication, Marine related Engineering company, or Government / Semi-Government establishment. Out of 10 years, at least 2 years must be in a supervisory grade.
Nationality
Applicants must be Indian citizens.
Age Relaxation
- ST (in posts reserved for them): 5 years (upper age limit 50 years)
- Ex-servicemen: As per Government of India guidelines, subject to maximum age of 50 years
Selection Process & Screening Clause
The selection is conducted in two phases:
Phase I – Offline Written Test (80 Marks)
- Objective Type Test (40 Marks, 45 minutes): No negative marking. Distribution – General Knowledge (5), General English (5), Reasoning (5), Quantitative Aptitude (5), Discipline Related (20).
- Descriptive Type Test (40 Marks, 90 minutes): Discipline-related descriptive questions.
- Minimum Pass Marks: 50% of total marks for Unreserved posts; 40% of total marks for ST candidates.
Phase II – Power Point Presentation (20 Marks)
Shortlisted candidates from Phase I present a PowerPoint presentation of not more than 10 minutes highlighting their work experience.
Instruction: SC/ST candidates appearing for document verification are eligible for single to-and-fro sleeper class rail/bus fare reimbursement as per company rules. No TA/DA will be paid to other candidates.
