Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Must have passed the SSC examination (10th Class) or its equivalent examination.
• Must be able to read and write Telugu / Urdu / Hindi or English.
• Must possess a current valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license issued by the competent authority under the Motor Vehicle Act, 1998.
• Must have practical experience in driving a motor vehicle for a period of not less than 3 years.
• Must possess endorsement to drive Motor Cycle and Auto Rickshaw.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 46 years
• Age as on: 01-07-2026

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST/EWS/BC (Aboriginal Tribes in Agency areas): 5 years relaxation.
• Ex-Servicemen: As per Rule 12(1)(c)(i) of Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules.
• Contract/Outsourcing Staff: Upper age limit is relaxed for candidates currently working on a contract or outsourcing basis in the High Court or related Legal Services Authorities, provided they have put in at least 2 years of service by the date of notification and were within the age limit at the time of their initial appointment.

• Medical Fitness: Candidate must be of sound health and active habits.
• Character: Character and antecedents must be satisfactory.
• Citizenship: Must be a Citizen of India.

Selection Process & Skill Test Structure

The selection process involves a Skill Test in Driving, Certificate Verification, and a Viva-voce (Interview). There is no written examination (Prelims/Mains).

Selection Stages

1. Skill Test (Driving): Practical test to assess driving proficiency.
2. Certificate Verification: Verification of original documents.
3. Viva-voce (Interview): Oral interview (candidates shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3).
4. Merit List: Based on consolidated marks from the Skill Test and Viva-voce.

Weightage & Tie-Breaker Rules

• Weightage: Candidates currently working on a contract/outsourcing basis in the Judiciary/Legal Services will receive weightage marks based on the length of service (min 2 years by notification date).
• Tie-Breaker:
  1. Elder candidate is preferred if marks are equal.
  2. If age is also a tie, the candidate with higher marks in the SSC (educational qualification) is selected.

• Fee Amount: Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only).
• Payment Mode: Offline only via Crossed Demand Draft.
• DD Details: Drawn in favour of "THE REGISTRAR (RECRUITMENT), HIGH COURT FOR THE STATE OF TELANGANA", payable at Hyderabad.
• Refund Policy: The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

How to Apply (Step-by-Step Guide)

1. Download Application Form: Visit the official website https://tshc.gov.in and download the prescribed proforma application.
2. Fill the Form: Fill in the application carefully in English. No overwriting is allowed.
3. Attach Documents (Attested Copies):
   • SSC Marks list & Pass Certificate.
   • Date of Birth Certificate.
   • Valid LMV Driving License (with endorsement for Motor Cycle & Auto Rickshaw).
   • Experience Certificate (proving 3 years of driving experience).
