Position: Engineer Trainee - Civil 2. No of Post: 20 3. Essential Qualification: Full time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech/B.ScEngg.) from recognized Indian University/Institute approved by AICTE with not less than 65% marks or equivalent CGPA, taking average of all Semesters/Years, irrespective of weightage given to any particular semester/year by the University/ Institute. 4. 1. The Eligible candidates must have appeared for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022.
2. Candidates shall be shortlisted based on GATE 2022 score/performance from among the candidates who will apply against the advertisement for the post of Engineer Trainee (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) in THDCIL.
3. The normalized score of GATE 2022 will form basis of shortlisting.
4. Merit List shall be separate for General/SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/ PwBDSs category.
5. In case the GATE score-2022 of two candidates are same then marks obtained in Qualifying Examination (Engineering Degree) will form the basis, in case the marks of Qualifying Examination (Engineering Degree) is also the same then marks obtained in Class XII will be taken into consideration, in the case the marks of Class XII is also the same then marks obtained in Class X is also same then Date of Birth will be taken into consideration for preparing merit between two candidates and person born earlier shall be considered.
6. The Selection Process consists marks obtained in the corresponding paper of GATE 2022 and Personal Interview.
7. Please note only GATE Score of year 2022 is valid for the recruitment.
1. Candidates should be registered and must have appeared for the corresponding paper of GATE-2022.

THDC India Limited (THDCIL) is a premier power sector Public Sector Enterprise (PSE) and a consistently profit-making company. It was incorporated as a Public Limited Company in July 1988 under the Companies Act, 1956, with the primary mandate of developing, operating, and maintaining the 2400 MW Tehri Hydro Power Complex. Recognizing its operational excellence and strategic importance, the Government of India conferred "Mini Ratna - Category I" status on THDCIL in October 2009, followed by an upgrade to a Schedule 'A' PSU in July 2010.
Originally, the equity of the Company was held in the ratio of 75:25 between the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP). Pursuant to a strategic disinvestment, a Share Purchase Agreement was signed on 25th March 2020 between NTPC Limited and the President of India for the acquisition of the Government of India's stake. As a result, THDCIL became a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, with the equity now held by NTPC Limited and GoUP in the ratio of 74.496% and 25.504%, respectively.
