Eligibility Criteria for NCC Special Entry 2026

Nationality

Candidate must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin from specified countries with intent to settle in India.

Age Limit

19 to 25 years as on 1 January 2027 (born between 2 Jan 2002 and 1 Jan 2008).

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university. Final year students can apply but must complete degree before course commencement.

NCC Requirement

Minimum ‘B’ Grade in NCC ‘C’ Certificate examination with at least 2/3 years of service in Senior Division/Wing. Provisional certificates not accepted at SSB.

Marital Status

Unmarried men and women (including wards of battle casualties).

Selection Process – SSB Interview Only

The selection does not involve any written exam. It is based on shortlisting of applications (bonus marks for NCC grade and graduation percentage), followed by a 5-day SSB interview at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru or Jalandhar.
