Educational Qualification:

  • Essential: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
  • NCC Requirement (General Category): Minimum 'B' Grade in NCC 'C' Certificate exam and minimum two/three years of service in Senior Division/Wing of NCC. Certificate must be obtained on or before the application date.
  • For Wards of Battle Casualties: Bachelor's degree only. NCC 'C' Certificate is not required.
  • Final Year Candidates: Can apply if they complete their degree before the course begins (01 April 2027). Aggregate percentage from first two/three years will be considered for shortlisting.

  • Maximum: 25 years.
  • Date of Birth Range: Born not earlier than 02 January 2002 and not later than 01 January 2008 (both dates inclusive).

Salary:



  • During Training: ₹56,100 per month (fixed stipend).
  • On Commissioning (Lieutenant): Approx. ₹17-18 lakh per annum (CTC), plus allowances.
  • Pay Scale (Lieutenant): Level 10 (₹56,100 - ₹1,77,500) + Military Service Pay (MSP) of ₹15,500.

Selection Procedure: Application Shortlisting (based on NCC 'C' Certificate grade and graduation marks), followed by SSB Interview (5 days), Medical Examination, and Final Merit List.

Key Instructions for Candidates

  • NCC 'C' Certificate: For the general category, this is mandatory. Provisional certificates are not accepted.
  • Single SSB Appearance: Candidates can appear for only one SSB interview: either for this NCC Special Entry or for the CDSE entry for the same course. An undertaking to this effect is required.
  • Marriage Restriction: Candidates cannot marry during training. Marrying before or during training leads to removal and recovery of training costs.
  • SSB Interview: The interview is a 5-day process conducted at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar. Candidates who fail Stage I are sent back the same day.
  • Medical Examination: Recommended candidates undergo a medical examination. Medical fitness is a prerequisite for commissioning.
  • Reserve Liability: Officers released before completing contractual service must serve the Army Reserve for 5 years.
  • Final Year Candidates: Must submit their final degree certificate by 01 April 2027. Provisional degree certificates older than six months as on 01 April 2027 are not acceptable.
  • Document Authenticity: All original documents must be carried to the SSB interview. Incomplete documents lead to summary rejection.
