Applications are invited from eligible candidates for preparing a panel of 14 posts of Part-Time Bank’s Medical Consultant (MC) on a pure contract basis for three (03) years, with fixed hourly remuneration for the dispensaries of Reserve Bank of India (the Bank) located in Mumbai. The reservation requirement for the vacancies is as under Engagement of Medical Consultant (MC) in the Bank on Contract Basis with Fixed Hourly Remuneration, Mumbai 1. Position: Medical Consultant (MC) 2. Number of Vacancies: 14 3. Eligibility Criteria: a. The applicant should possess an MBBS degree from any university recognized by the Medical Council of India in the Allopathic system of medicine. b. Applicants having post-graduate degrees in General Medicine can also apply for this post. c. Applicant should have a minimum 02 (two) years post qualification experience practicing an allopathic system of medicine in any hospital or clinic as a Medical Practitioner. d. Applicant should have his/her dispensary or place of residence within a radius of 40 km from the Bank’s dispensaries. 4. Remuneration, duty hours, and other conditions: a. During the period of the contract, a remuneration of ₹1,000/- per hour will be paid. Out of the monthly remuneration so payable, a sum of ₹1,000/- per month will be treated as conveyance expenses. No other facilities/perks will be payable to the BMC engaged on a contract basis. b. The engagement is purely on a contract basis. No superannuation benefits viz. Pension, Provident Fund, or Gratuity will be payable for the engagement. No leave, perquisites/facilities would be admissible. If required to attend a dispensary on any public holiday, compensation @ ₹1,000/- per hour shall be paid. c. Remuneration will be paid as per the actual duty hours performed and will be all-inclusive. d. RBI reserves the right to review the rate of remuneration from time to time, and change the duty hours as well as the dispensary attached to an MC at its discretion, in case it becomes expedient for administrative and operational requirements. Due to the change in the dispensary, the number of working hours of the MC may change accordingly. e. The number of hours of engagement of an MC can be increased up to 30 hours per week as per the requirement of the Bank. However, the total hours of engagement of a BMC in all dispensaries put together shall not exceed 30 hours per week. f. The contract for engagement will be for a period of three years. There will not be any renewal of engagement on completion of the contract period.

1. The Bank will be conducting an interview for the shortlisted candidates. The Bank reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards etc. in order to limit the number of candidates to be called for interview.
2., The decision of the Bank in this regard will be final. Mere fulfilling of the eligibility criteria does not entitle the candidate to be called for Interview.
3. Apart from those who may be called for interview, the Bank will not entertain any correspondence with the applicants who are not found eligible / not considered eligible for interviews.
4. Applicants shortlisted after the interview will be subjected to medical examination as per prescribed norms and other document verification processes before being empaneled as Medical consultants (MC) on a contract basis.
5. A candidate placed on the panel will be engaged as and when the requirement arises subject to his/her being found medically fit and on acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of Contract given in and the Code of Conduct given
6. The impaneled candidate has to sign an agreement with the Bank before engagement of their service as a Medical Consultant (on a contract basis) with fixed hourly remuneration.
1. Application in a sealed cover should reach the Regional Director, Human Resource Management Department, Recruitment Section, Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai Regional Office, Shahid Bhagat Singh Road, Fort, Mumbai – 400001 before 1700 hrs. on April 25, 2022.
2. The sealed cover should be super-scribed as ‘Application for the post of Medical Consultant (MC) on a contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration.
3. Candidates seeking reservation as Schedule Caste (SC) / Schedule Tribe (ST) /Other Backward Class (OBC) must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation and should also submit all the requisite certificates in the prescribed format in support of their claim along with the application.
4. Candidates seeking reservation as SC/ST/OBC, shall have to produce a certificate in the prescribed proforma ONLY, meant for appointment to posts under the Government of India from the designated authority clearly indicating the candidate’s caste, the Act/Order under which the caste is recognized as SC/ST/OBC and the Village/Town the candidate is ordinarily a resident of

They must also ensure that the name of their caste/community and its spelling in their caste/community certificate should be exactly as mentioned in the lists notified by the central government from time to time (for the OBC category list of castes recognized by the Government of India as OBC castes in the central list is available on the site http://www.ncbc.nic.in, for ST category the list of caste for each state is available on the site http://www.ncst.nic.in and for SC category the list of castes for each state is available on the site http://www.socialjustice.nic.in)
6. A certificate containing any variation in the caste name will not be accepted.
7. Further, the OBC certificate should also clearly indicate that the candidate does not belong to the creamy layer as defined by the Government of India for applying to posts and services under the Central Government.
8. Candidates belonging to the OBC category but falling under the ‘Creamy Layer are not entitled to OBC reservation.
9. OBC candidates availing of reservation benefit will have to produce an OBC certificate issued after April 01, 2021, with the Non-Creamy Layer clause as per Government of India guidelines.
