Online applications are invited from bonafide citizens of India for selection of candidates for recruitment to 5(five) vacancies (UR-any other category) in Principal, Industrial Training Institute (Group-B, permanent posts of Gazetted) Government of Tripura in the Scale of Revised Pay Cell-I and Pay level -13 of the Tripura State Pay Matrix 2018 (PB-3)0f Rs. A degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology from an AICTE recognized Institute/UGC recognized University/ Deemed University with 5(five) years experience from a " Registered" and reputed Institution i.e. workshop or factory or any production units or in teaching in a recognized institution.
ii. OR Diploma in the in any branch of Engineering/ Techn010U from an AICTE recognized institute/ UGC recognized University with 8(eight) year's experience from a "Registered" and reputed institution i.e. workshop or factory or any production units or in teaching in a recognized institution.

Selection Procedure
1. The selection process will be held in two steps viz.
i. Written Examination 170 marks (MCQ type OMR based): There will be Negative marks for MCQ. For each question for which a wrong answer/ multiple answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
ii. Interview/ Viva-voce 30 marks:
(a) Interview cum personality Test: A limited no. of candidates, maximum 5(five) times of total posts (in category wise) will be selected merit wise on the basis of the result of the Written Examination, subject to securing minimum qualifying marks (50% for UR candidates and 40% for reserved category candidates) or otherwise as fixed by Commission.
(b) It is also mentioned here that candidate(s) scoring marks equal to that of the last qualified candidate in the Written Examination shall also be called for Interview/ Personality Test.
(c) The candidates who will be found qualified in the Written examination will be called to appear in the Interview/ Personality Test.
(d) In the list Of recommendation, merit position of candidates securing equal marks will be finalized as per their seniority of age.

The provision for constitution of Public Service Commission was first incorporated under Article 96C of the Government of India Act,1919. Thereafter in 1923 ‘Lee Commission’ was constituted for the purpose of formulating the principles/terms and conditions of Public Service Commission. Subsequently, as per recommendations of the ‘Lee Commission’ Federal Public Service Commission was established in India for the first time, on 1st October, 1926. Lee Commission also recommended for establishment of Provincial Public Service Commission its statehood on 21st January,1972 and Tripura Public Service Commission was established on 30th October, 1972, under the provisions of Article 315 of the Constitution of India. Sri G.P.Bagchi was the first Chairman and Sri I. K. Roy was the first Member of the Tripura Public Service Commission. The Commission is, at present, located at the old Assembly House of Tripura, at Akhaura Road, Agartala
