Selection Procedure
1. A competitive written examination will be conducted. Typing proficiency/skill test for the post of Stenographer and LDC, Physical standard test for the post of Forest Guard and Trade test in respective discipline for the post of Technician will be conducted for the candidates shortlisted in 1:5 ratio on the basis of merit of written examination.
2. Written Examination:-Written examination will be conducted for all the posts either on the same date or on different dates through MP Online. The question paper (bilingual — in English and Hindi) will have total 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying Maximum Marks as 100
3. Skill/Proficiency Test: Candidates qualified in written examination for the post of Stenographer Grade- II, Lower Division Clerk, Forest Guard and Technician, will be called for the following skill/physical test on the basis of merit of written examination in a ratio of 1:5.
4. Stenographer Grade II: Minimum speed of 80 words per minute in Stenography English/Hindi. Typing speed 5 key depression for each word on Computer.
5. Lower Division Clerk: Typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi on manual typewriter, or typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer.
6. (i) The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit of written examination subject to minimum qualifying marks.
7. The decision of the Institute on short-listing will be final and the Institute will not entertain any correspondence in this regard. Typing proficiency test, Physical standard test, Trade test for the relevant posts will be qualifying and with minimum 50% marks (wherever marking). In case candidate failed to qualify the relevant test though he/she in merit of written examination will not be selected for the post.

3. Final Online submission of application will be open till 11:59 hrs on 07/03/2022. Screened in candidates vide previous advertisement in 2019 (list available on institute website - https://tfri.icfre.gov.in/jobs/vacancy69.pdf) are advised to register themselves on MP Online website https://www.mponline.gov.in.
4. No other means/mode of application shall be accepted.

The Tropical Forest Research Institute, Jabalpur is one of the nine regional institutes under the Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education. The Institute came into existence in April 1988, although its origin goes back to 1973 when a Regional Centre of FRI, Dehradun was established at Jabalpur to provide research support to the problems of forest management in central India. The institute has not only steadily advanced in terms of infrastructure but also specialized as a major nucleus for research on forestry and ecology-related problems of tropical forests of the central region comprising the states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. The institute is headed by Director and has a staff strength of 113 including 22 scientists and 38 officers.
The campus of the Institute is situated 10 km southeast of Jabalpur on NH -12A. The campus is spread over an area of 109 ha amidst picturesque surroundings. The area enjoys a semi-arid type of climate with mean annual precipitation of 1358 mm. The campus of the Institute is fully developed with facilities like an office cum laboratory building, library and information building, biotechnology lab, residential complex, bank, post-office, dispensary, shopping complex, central school, community hall, canteen, motor vehicle workshop, scholars' transit hostel, scientists' hostel, sports ground and rest house. The institute has its satellite centre situated in Madhya Pradesh, the heartland of India, Forest Research Centre for Skill Development established at Chhindwara. The centre is located on the Chhindwara-Panchmari state highway, 8 km from Chhindwara town at Poama village. Chhindwara is well connected by road, to Nagpur (125 km), Jabalpur (215 km) and Bhopal (280km). In addition, it has rail linkage also. A functional airstrip along with a helipad is also located at Chhindwara.
