Skills / Eligibility
1. Post Name: Consultant - Programme Manager - Ending Violence Against Women (Open to Indian Nationals Only) 2. Location: New Delhi, INDIA 3. Duties and Responsibilities: a. Provide technical support in the development and implementation of an integrated strategy for the delivery of technical assistance, policy advocacy and programme support. The strategy should reflect the response and recovery of COVID-19; b. Work closely with Programme Specialist and the EVAW Unit to manage the project delivery on time; Support in the delivery and monitoring of activities aligned to the Programme Framework; c. Draft annual workplans and progress and financial reports under the Programme Framework and as per internal UN Women processes; Facilitate outreach and media campaigns for the project; d. Review project implementation and expenditure of the project; Document good practices and updates from the programme, for website and quarterly reporting and donor reporting; e. Coordinate and monitor the work of the partners, and trainers for the project; Build and facilitate strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders; 4. Expected Deliverables: a. Workplan for the assignment. Timely and effective delivery of the project. Coordination between key stakeholders ensured. b. Strategic partnerships created. Results based monitoring system in place. Knowledge building and knowledge sharing facilitated. c. Communications and knowledge products for the project in place. Interim and final donor reports for the project. 5. Education: Master’s Degree in Social Sciences/ Social Work /Gender Studies/Public Administration/Policy/law or related fields. 6. Experience: a. 5 years of professional experience with programming, especially project design, implementation, management, and evaluation b. Programming experience on human rights and violence against women would be an asset c. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advance knowledge of spread sheet and database packages d. Experience in handling of web-based management systems.Experience in high level documentation and reporting skills desirable. 7. Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Hindi is required. Knowledge of Assamese is an asset.
