Online applications are invited from candidates having qualifications prescribed as below for the post of Project Manager on contract basis in the Computer Centre of the University. The qualifications for the post are as detailed below:- 1. Name of the Post: Project Manager 2. No. of vacancies : 1 [and also for arising vacancies]. 3. Remuneration: Consolidated remuneration of Rs.75,000/- (Rupees Seventy Five Thousand Only) per month 4. Qualifications: Post Graduation in Computer Science or equivalent degree, with a minimum of first class in aggregate from a recognized University in India. Relaxation in percentage of marks for SC/ST and OBC candidates. Relaxation is allowed in percentage marks to the tune of 10 % for SC/ST candidates and 5% for OBC candidates eligible for reservation. 5. Technical Experience: Minimum 8 years Experience in IT Field out of which, 4 years should be as ‘Project Head/ Project Leader/ Project Manager OR any equivalent positions’ in a Government / Semi - Government Firm or in any Tier I or II Companies. 6. Desirable Qualifications a) Experience in ERP System management or any similar System Management . b) Expertise in web-based frameworks of JAVA, PHP, Python and Maintenance of mobilebased applications. c) A sound understanding of RDBMS tools and databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.

The history of the University of Kerala is integral to the history of the state itself. One of the first 16 Universities in India, the University of Kerala was founded in 1937. It was formerly called the University of Travancore in the erstwhile princely state of Travancore (now southern part of Kerala and some neighbouring parts of state of Tamilnadu). The University came into being by a promulgation of the Maharajah of Travancore, Sri ChithiraThirunal Balarama Varma who was also the first Chancellor of the University. Sir C. P Ramaswamy Ayyar, the then Diwan (Prime minister) of the State was the first Vice-Chancellor. He was an eminent scholar and an able administrator.
It is said that the Government made an unsuccessful attempt to invite Albert Einstein to be the first Vice-Chancellor. The University was modelled after the best Universities of the United Kingdom, and even today retains some of these features. The affiliating system of the University however evolved differently from the college system in British Universities.
