Skills / Eligibility

Applications are invited from eligible candidates (Indian Nationals only) on a plain paper or in the attached format (Form B) for the following position(s) in the research project “Health beliefs and indigenous health practices related to non-communicable diseases and accessibility to healthcare services: A participatory action research on tribal communities in Telangana and Odisha”

1. Name of the Post : Research Assistant

2. Number of positions : 02 UR

3. Fellowship / Honorarium / Stipend in Rs. : Rs.31,000/- per month

4. HRA, if applicable : 24% HRA per month

5. Tenure of the Post : Initially for nine months or up to November 2022, whichever is earlier. The tenure may be extended further till the completion of the project, subject to the sanction of the complete project.

6. Essential Qualifications : Post-graduate in Psychology or Anthropology or Sociology with at least 55% marks

7. Desirable Qualifications: Exposure to conducting field-based research in rural areas. Proficiency in working with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis software (SPSS/R). Excellent communication skills in English and Odia/Telugu

Selection Procedure

The eligible candidates shall be shortlisted for appearing at the written test / interview as per the extant rules of the University. The shortlisted candidates may be required to appear at written test / interview through online mode due to the COVID-19. In such cases, the candidates are to make their own necessary arrangements for attending the online written test / interview.

1. Applicants should note that the appointments to be made are purely temporary and they have no right for claiming for any regular appointment in the University.

2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test / interview / skill test or at the time of joining.

3. Self-attested copies of all certificates in support of the information furnished in the application shall be enclosed. There is no Application Fee.

4. Last date for receipt of filled-in applications with all enclosures is 25 February 2022 (6 p.m.).
