Educational Qualification: M.A, MBA/PGDM, M.Phil/Ph.D

Applications are invited from eligible candidates (Indian Nationals only) on a plain paper / prescribed format (Form B) for the following temporary position(s) in the research project entitled “The Nexus between Cities, Externalities, Growth and Poverty in India:

i. A Post Covid19 Assessment on Urban Poor and Slum Dwellers- A Study for Setting the Context for “Cities, inclusive, Safe, Resilient, and Sustainable” sponsored by Institute of Eminence (IOE), Government of India -University of Hyderabad, vide Sanction Order No. UOH-IoE-RC3-21- 014, dated 13th Dec 2021

1. Name of the Post: Senior Research Associate

2. Number of positions: 01

3. Fellowship / Honorarium / Salary / Stipend in Rs.: Rs. 50,000 per month

4. Tenure of the Post One Year: Initially, Six months and the position is extendable for another six months depending on the performance of the candidate.

5. Essential Qualifications:

MA/ M.Phil. /Ph.D. in Economics with experience in handling primary (Field Data) data analysis in statistical software such as STATA, R, SPSS, or any other programming languages. The candidates must have a fair ability to speak, write and read in English. Or MA/ M.Phil. /Ph.D. in any social sciences discipline or an MBA from a reputed University or institution along with fieldwork experience and data analysis skills in STATA, R, SPSS or any other statistical packages.

6. Desirable Qualifications:

MA, M.Phil., Ph.D. in Urban Economics, Transport Economics, Land Economics, Housing Economics, Development Studies, Urban Studies, Urban Planning, Urban Slums, and Poverty will be preferred. The pursuing Ph.D. candidates in these subjects with the econometric skillset to handle primary data, secondary data collection, compilation, analysis, documentation, and reporting will be given priority for selection.

7. Experience: Any prior research experience, dissertation at MA level, and internship experience will be an added advantage. Fieldwork Experience in any Social Science project will also be an added advantage.

4. Tenure of the Post: 18 (Eighteen) Months: Initially, one year, and the position is extendable for another 6 months depending on the performance of the candidate.

5. Essential Qualifications:

i. MA/ M.Phil. in Economics with experience in handling primary (Field Data) data analysis in statistical software such as STATA, R, SPSS, or any other programming languages. The candidates must have a fair ability to speak, write and read in English. The students who are on the verge of completing their Master’s/ M.Phil.

ii. degree and strong desire to learn are encouraged to apply. Or MA/ M.Phil. in any social sciences discipline or an MBA from a reputed University or institution along with fieldwork experience and data analysis skills in STATA, R, SPSS, or any other statistical packages.

6. Desirable Qualifications:
