The Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS), Saifai, Etawah, has released a notification for Walk-in Interviews regarding the short-term appointment of Junior Residents (Non-PG). Candidates with MBBS degrees and completed internships are invited to attend the interview scheduled for January 2026.

Eligibility for Junior Resident (Non PG)

• Essential Qualification: MBBS or equivalent qualification as per NMC norms.
• Additional Requirement: Candidates must have completed the rotatory internship programme. A valid registration certificate from NMC/State Medical Council is mandatory.
• Age Limit: Upper age limit is 45 years on the date of interview.

How to Apply

1. Download the application form from the University website www.upums.ac.in.
2. Prepare a Demand Draft (non-refundable) of Rs. 1,000/- (General/EWS/OBC) or Rs. 500/- (SC/ST) in favour of "Finance Officer, UPUMS, Saifai, Etawah (Branch Code – 7281)" payable at Saifai.
3. Write your name on the backside of the Demand Draft.
4. Submit the application form and DD on the day of the interview at Room No. – 145, Ground Floor, Administrative Block, UPUMS, Saifai by 11:00 AM.

Important Documents to Carry: Candidates must bring two photographs, a resume, and self-attested copies of (a) High School Marksheet & Certificate, (b) MBBS Marksheets & Degree, (c) Internship Completion Certificate, (d) State Medical Council Registration, (e) Identity Proof (Aadhar/PAN/Passport/Voter ID), and (f) Two passport-size photographs.

Ans: The salary is Rs. 56,100/- plus Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) and other allowances as per university rules.

Q2: Is the bond applicable for this post?
Ans: The appointment is for 89 days (Non-Bond). However, extensions are possible for up to 3 years or until new appointments are made under the compulsory government bond scheme.
