West Bengal KVIB Recruitment 2026: Notification for Group A & B Officers
The West Bengal Khadi and Village Industries Board (WBKVIB) has released a recruitment notification (Advt No. 180 /ESTB (22)/22-23) to engage experienced professionals on a contractual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for retired government officials to continue their service in a reputed state government organization. A total of 14 vacancies are available for Group-A Officers and Group-B Head Clerk Cum Accountant positions.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification & Experience
- Essential: Candidates must be Retired Officials from Government Departments, Autonomous Bodies, Local Bodies, PSUs, Statutory bodies, or Undertakings.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Application and Tally software is mandatory.
2. Age Limit
- Maximum age: 63 years or below as of 01-01-2026.
- Candidates must be physically and mentally fit to execute office work.
3. Salary (Consolidated)
- Group-A Officer: Rs. 15,000/- per month.
- Group-B Head Clerk: Rs. 12,000/- per month.
Selection Process
Selection will be based strictly on a Walk-in-Interview. There is no written test.
- Document Verification: Candidates must report at 11:00 AM for verification of original documents (from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM).
- Interview: The Interview Board will assess candidates immediately after verification.

The West Bengal Khadi and Village Industries Board (WBKVIB) is a statutory body established in 1960 under the West Bengal Khadi and Village Industries Board Act, 1959. Its primary mission is to foster rural industrialization by promoting Khadi and various village industries across the state. By providing financial assistance, technical training, and marketing support to rural artisans and entrepreneurs, the Board plays a critical role in generating sustainable employment opportunities. It operates under the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Textiles of the Government of West Bengal, aiming to empower the rural economy and preserve traditional craftsmanship.
Beyond its administrative functions, the WBKVIB is instrumental in implementing state and central schemes, such as the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). The Board maintains a strong market presence through its retail outlets, popularly known as "Gramin," and through initiatives like "Club Muslin," which focuses on reviving the heritage of fine muslin. Through regular exhibitions, design interventions, and quality control measures, the Board ensures that traditional products meet modern consumer standards, thereby securing the livelihoods of thousands of artisans across West Bengal.
