Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, M.Sc, MCA

Applications are invited for engagement as Programme Officer on purely contractual basis in the Environmental Information System (ENVIS) Centre on Wildlife & Protected Areas at the Wildlife Institute of India, an autonomous Institute of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India (GOI).

1. Post Name: Programme Officer 

2. Essential Qualifications:(i) M.Sc. (Natural Sciences/ Environmental Science)/ MCA/ B. Tech./ BE, well versed in computer applications/ Web Development with at least 3 years’ experience

3. Desirable Qualifications:

(i) Doctorate in Natural Sciences and Environmental Sciences

(ii) Experience of working in National Parks/ Wildlife Sanctuaries;

(iii) Experience in documentation and publications;

(iv) Good report writing, communication skill & computer knowledge with working experience of software related to Natural Sciences and Environmental Sciences;

(v) Familiarity with the Environmental Information System; and

(vi) Experience in conducting capacity building programs.

4. Consolidated Emoluments: Rs. 46,690/ month. No other allowances will be given.

5. The position is for a period of one year but it can be changed as per the ToR of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, New Delhi.

Selection Procedure

1. All eligible candidates will be asked to appear for online interview test to be conducted by Institute on 28 February 2022 from 10:00 hours onwards.

2. The decision of the Institute in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application, mode of selection will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual or his/her agency.

3. The selected candidates will be governed by the Institute’s rules, amended from time to time.
