Eligibility Criteria for Young Professional
- Essential Qualification:
Option 1: Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences (Wildlife Science / Zoology / Ecology / Environmental Sciences / Geoinformatics / Life Sciences) or equivalent subjects from a recognized university AND 3 to 5 years of experience in Science & Technology Institutions or Scientific Activities & Services.
Option 2: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology in relevant subject from a recognized institute AND 3 to 5 years of experience in Science & Technology Institutions or Scientific Activities & Services. - Experience: 3 to 5 years required as per qualification option.
- Desirable: Experience in wildlife and tiger landscape/habitats; Knowledge of report writing, AI tools, presentations, and DPR preparation; Understanding of ecology, climate change, green credits, and carbon markets; Use of GIS and similar analytical tools; Experience with data management software; Knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, or similar design tools.
- Age Limit (As on 13/02/2026): Maximum 32 years. Age relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), Other categories as per Govt of India norms.

Established in 1982, Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an internationally acclaimed Institution, which offers training program, academic courses and advisory in wildlife research and management. The Institute is actively engaged in research across the breadth of the country on biodiversity related issues.
The Institute's idyllic campus that has been carefully developed to create state of the art infrastructure encourages scholarly work. WII's research projects being conducted in field sites across the length and breadth of the country are the primary sources of scientific information to help conservation.
