Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Project Associate-I (Caracal - Ecology)

  • Essential: Post-graduate degree with minimum 55% marks in Life Sciences or Environmental Sciences (Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Science, Conservation Biology, Biodiversity Studies, Forestry, Ecological Sciences, Environmental Studies, or allied disciplines) from a recognized university.
  • Desirable: Experience in camera trap surveys and habitat sampling; conversant with analysis of camera trap data, statistical modeling, report preparation, and Remote Sensing/GIS; willingness to reside in remote locations; proficiency in occupancy modeling, population estimation, biodiversity mapping; manuscript writing; proficiency in spoken Hindi.
  • Age Limit: 35 years (as of 15-02-2026)

Eligibility for Project Associate-I (Caracal - Social)

  • Essential: Post-graduate degree with minimum 55% marks in Life Sciences or Environmental Sciences (Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Science, Conservation Biology, Biodiversity Studies, Forestry, Ecological Sciences, Environmental Studies, or allied disciplines) from a recognized university.
  • Desirable: Experience in social surveys and questionnaire surveys; conversant with designing social surveys, analysis of data, and report writing; willingness to reside in remote locations; proficiency in statistical analysis; proficiency in Hindi.
  • Age Limit: 35 years (as of 15-02-2026)

Eligibility for Project Associate-I (Nicobar Megapode)

  • Essential: Post-Graduate degree (M.Sc.) or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in Life Sciences or Environmental Sciences (Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Science, Forestry, Conservation Biology, Ecological Sciences, Environmental Studies, or allied disciplines) from a recognized institute/university.
  • Desirable: Keen interest in bird research; skill in bird surveys and field ecology; willingness to reside in remote locations and travel by road/sea; exposure to bird capture/handling; familiarity with R programming and GIS tools; proficiency in English and Hindi.
  • Age Limit: 35 years (as of 15-02-2026)
