Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

  • Essential Qualification: Master's degree in Zoology with NET, and a minimum of 5 years of subsequent research experience in wetland ecology.
  • Desirable Skills: Familiarity with Indian birds, preferably wetland birds. GIS mapping, remote sensing, and R/Python-based programming.

Eligibility for Project Assistant (PA) - 01 Post

  • Essential Qualification: Master's degree in Botany with a minimum of 3 years of subsequent research experience.
  • Desirable Skills: Proficiency in plant taxonomy, herbarium techniques. Familiarity with ecological field methods, and data handling.

Eligibility for Project Assistant (PA) - 02 Posts

  • Essential Qualification: Master's degree in Zoology with a minimum of 2 years of subsequent research experience.
  • Desirable Skills: Familiarity with ecological field methods, data handling. Basic knowledge on different faunal groups.

Age Limit

  • Upper age limit for SRF: 32 years
  • Upper age limit for PA: 40 years
  • Age is calculated as of 07.01.2026. Relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PH candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the Walk-In-Interview. Registration for the interview will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on the day of the interview. Candidates will not be entertained after 11:15 AM.
