Selected KUs must enter into an agreement with the Assistant Programme Director (APD) and deposit a refundable security amount of Rs. 10,000 in the form of a Fixed Deposit Receipt from any scheduled commercial bank. The security deposit is forfeited in case of exit before the 2-year term.

Educational Qualification – Krishi Udyami (Agricultural Entrepreneur)

  • Diploma in Agriculture & Allied Fields from a government-recognised institution — includes Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Sciences, Forestry, Fisheries, Sericulture, Agricultural Engineering, BHT, BAT.
  • OR Graduation in Science (B.Sc) or in Agriculture & Allied Fields (B.Sc in Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry/Fisheries/Sericulture, BVSc & AH, B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering) from a government-recognised institution.
  • Additional preference is given to candidates holding:
    • Post-graduation (Science / Agriculture & Allied) — up to 10 additional merit points
    • Diploma/Certification in computers (3+ months from a government-recognised institution) — up to 15 additional merit points

Shortlisted candidates (highest-scoring) will undergo document verification at the office of the Chief Agriculture Officer, District Budgam. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the document verification process. Original documents must be presented at the time of verification.
