1. Nationality / Citizenship
A candidate must be either a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
2. Age Limit (As of 1st August 2026)
The age requirements vary by post category:

Age Relaxation Guidelines
- SC / ST: 5 Years upper age relaxation
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years upper age relaxation
- PwD (Unreserved): 10 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service
3. Minimum Educational Qualifications
- Assistant Audit Officer / Assistant Accounts Officer: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Institute. Desirable: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary (CS) or M.Com / MBA.
- Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor's Degree in any subject from a recognized University with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level, OR Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
- All Other Posts: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. Candidates appearing in their final year of graduation may also apply.
