Eligibility for Assistant Professor

  • Essential Qualification:
    • Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.
    • Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) at Master's and Bachelor's Degree level for ST/SC candidates.
  • Additional Requirements (Any One):
    • Cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR.
    • Cleared similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET.
    • Awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 and amendments.
    • Ph.D. Degree obtained from a Foreign University/Institution ranking among top 500 in World University Rankings.
  • Desirable:
    • Research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
    • Teaching/Post-Doctoral experience.
    • Awards from International Organizations/Government of India recognized bodies.
  • Age Limit:
    • General Candidates: Up to 30 years.
    • ST/SC Candidates: Up to 35 years (5 years relaxation).
    • APST Candidates: Up to 37 years (7 years relaxation).
    • Age relaxation as per Government rules for PwBD and Regular Government Servants.
